Here are the materials you need:
- This e-mail

I'll outline the specific process to go through because for people not use to things like this, it can be a little tricky. These instructions aren't a workaround to get free things illegaly, this is a legal offer and these instructions are only a guideline to make things easier to follow. You can do all of these things and never pay a penny. It might be a good idea to not wait too long before doing all of this because in a week or two it might be so popular that they have to put people on backorder due to over-demand compared to what their suppliers can currently handle. They've already discontinued the 15 gig iPod offer (as of July 19th), and now all current 15 gig iPods are 20 gig iPods.

Read these steps first, and then click the signup link. It may save you time.

1. Sign up using the link below, entering your e-mail address and desired password, then your shipping info.

2. Once you have signed up, there will be a series of Yes/No advertisements. They are all optional and are not important, you can click No on all of them, unless one of them interests you.

5. Once you have completed signing up for AOL or Ancestry or whatever you decided to do try out, it may take 24 hours to 3 days for you to receive credit for signing up. FreeiPods.com will have to receive some sort of notice from the company that you have signed up, then they'll update your FreeiPods account. For now, you can log into your FreeiPods.com account using the username and password you chose when you signed up.

NOTE: If for some reason you never saw the page which asks you to select which offer you want to try, you can go to the Check Status page after logging in, and you will see a link that says "click here to complete an offer yada yada" and that will take you to the page. If you've already completed an offer, that link will still exist there until FreeiPods gets updated that you completed it.

6. Once you have logged in, click on the "Refer Your Friends" link at the top and copy the referrer link mentioned at the bottom of the page. That is your referral link that you need to point your friends to. It's probably preferrable to send a direct e-mail to your friends instead of using the FreeiPods.com built in friend notifier where you enter in 5 friends addresses. This way you can include these instructions and help them understand a bit better what it's all about.

Warped Tour

I got to go to warped tour yesterday in Marysville. It was the first time I have ever been to anything like that, it was pretty fun. I got to see some good bands. I was supprised by Flogging Molly, they put on a really good show. And I watched Coheed And Cambria performance. Then I was waling by the KWOD booth, and their was the lead singer from Coheed And Cambria singing acoustically. That was the highlight from the concert for me. I got the tours comp. CD for five bucks. I took some pics with my new cell phone, now all I have to do is get them onto my computer.

For those of you who do not know, Gmail Machine is a site that is giving away Gmail invitations! It's a lotto, and to win, all you have to do is get the number 1337 (a.k.a. LEET). Well this is how close I got to getting a Gmail invite, man does it suck! I remeber hearing that blogger people where getting an invatation, I never got one, guess I'm not cool enough of something :(

So I was watching TechTV (or G4TechTV seeing how it has been bought out) and on the ScreenSavers, they mentioned this russian site for downloading MP3's really cheap. (I mean CHEAP!) so I thought I would check it out myself. So here is my review of allofmp3.com:
First off, I had trouble getting to the english site. The main page when you first load it is in russian with a little english button on the side. When I clicked on that, the web page just went blank (I mean no 404 error or any error, just white). So I thought it might be down because it was just on TechTV. So the next day, I tried again, and still the same thing. Then I did a little googleing and found a link to a sub page in english, I clicked on it, and that showed up. Ever since then, I've had no problems getting on the english portion of the site. I signed up, gave them a just e-mail address (really mine, but used for junk) and put down ten dollars using paypal (for some reason, I don't trust Russian sites with my credit card). Then I went to the downloading. Their selection is pretty good for being a Russian site, I was impressed. Apperently they have alot of hard to find albums that you can not find (like iTunes or Napster). But best of all, is the price. They charge you buy how many megabytes you use, not by song or album. And the total cost is .01$ per megabyte. Talk about cheap. The download speeds are not quite as fast at iTunes, you only get a mere 30Kbps on a good day, but I would say always above 20Kps. That is better than I get using some P2P program. I'm willing to wait the few extra seconds and save a few bucks. I've downloaded two albums and a few singles and still have 8 dollars ( keep in mind I only started with 10 ). But the best part about this service, is you get to pick the format and quality you download. You can choose between .ogg, .mp3, .acc, and a few others. And you get to choose the bit rate, like 128 or 192. I download in 192 ACC, and it is about .07 cents per song. Now the big down side, I don't know if this site is legal in the United States. I've been reading forums, and some say it is, and some say it is not. But until the RIAA finds a way to stop United States Citizens from downloading from this site, it is the first place I'm going to turn to for music. I give this service a 4 out of 5.

AirTunes

Apple has just announced (welll a few days ago) that kool little divice called AirPort Express. It seems to me that it is just a portable 802.11g wireless router with the neat feature of playing soungs from iTunes through an audio out. And thank goodness it is both PC and MAC freindly, because I'm to poor to get a mac. But when I do, it is going to be a powerbook G5 (because by the I save up enough money to get a powerbook, hopefully the G5 lineup will be out). Until then I'm stuck with my PC (AMD 1.4Ghz), but eh, it gets the job done. Maybe I should get a job and start saving up some money (then I can get an AirPort Express) ...

Working

I'm bored. I'm suppost to be working, but still bored. I do not have anything else to say. I went to Lake Tahoe yesterday, man, it is really nice up there. Wish I could AFFORD to live up there but I would just end up gambling all my money away. Now I'm suppost to be working, but insted I am sitting in front of a computer with nothing to do. Guess that is just about it.

Camping

I just got back from camping, and man an I sunburnt. IT HURTS. Other than that, it was fun. Meet some dudes at another site who were on a company picknic and hung out with them one night. Then we reneted cannos ( kyacks, whaterver ) and went around the lake ( it's a big lake ). Now I'm tired and am going to take a shower.

Well, I've been working on getting comments available, and I have sucseeded!!! After a few minutes of getting the comments up and running, someone actually commented on a post!!! wow, I can't beleive someone besides myself actually read this. Geeze, all my hard work is not in vain! Now that I have a good template that has working comments and even a hit counter on it, I can start putting up real stuff, just like this! well, thats just about it.
